1. General information
1. To design activities based on cooperative learning and learning based on thinking in the framework of the didactics of philosophy in secondary and high school.
2. To contextualize philosophy learning activities within the framework of the new educational law (LOM-LOE).
The SDGs are: 4, 5, 10, 16 and 17 (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/)
Given the practical and group work nature of the subject, regular class attendance is recommended.
2. Learning results
1. Explain the specific characteristics and difficulties of learning philosophy, associating them to the use of certain types of learning processes, methodologies, representations and learning resources.
2. Describe and critically comment on a wide repertoire of activities for learning philosophy related to different types of objectives, methodologies and learning styles.
3. Design accurately the learning activities of Philosophy, detailing its specific objectives, process of work, associated contents, organization and evaluation and preparing the learning environment appropriate to the process described.
4. Conduct a critical self-assessment and evaluation of the process of designing, organizing and evaluating activities for Philosophy.
3. Syllabus
I: Contextualization
1. Presentation of the peculiarities of the teaching of Philosophy in ESO and Bachillerato.
2. Presentation of different methods of activity design.
3. Analysis of some specific philosophy teaching activities.
4. Presentation of different methods of self- and co-evaluation of teaching work.
II: Design.
1. Presentation of the two activities to be implemented in the classroom.
III: Self- and co-evaluation
1. Presentation of the two activities that have been implemented in the classroom.
2. Collegial self- and co-evaluation.
4. Academic activities
The activities are aimed at putting into practice the typological variety of the teaching-learning activities of the contents of the speciality of Philosophy in ESO and Bachillerato.
- To elaborate a Didactic Programming of Philosophy of 1st year of Bachillerato in the state and Aragonese legal framework. For those who are part of a group, to develop a self-evaluation rubric created jointly.
- Design 3 activities based on cooperative learning with the use of texts.
- Devise 3 activities based on cooperative learning without the use of texts.
- Set up 4 thinking maps based on thinking-based learning.
5. Assessment system
Global evaluation test: for all the calls.
5.1- Of the activities described in the previous section:
1. Elaboration of a Didactic Programming of Philosophy of 1st year of Bachillerato in the state and Aragonese legal framework. From in a group setting for those who attend class/individually for those who do not attend class: 50% of the grade.
2. Cooperative and thinking-based learning activities: 50% of the subject grade:
- Elaboration of 3 activities based on cooperative learning with the use of texts.
- Elaboration of 3 activities based on cooperative learning without the use of texts.
- Elaboration of 4 thinking maps based on thinking-based learning.
The specific guidelines for each of these activities will be provided at the beginning of the subject.
5.2. Comprehension and expression of ideas (0 to 3), handling of the bibliography (0 to 3), ability to formulate meaningful questions (0 to 1), ability to initiate and maintain a discussion (0 to 1.5), and ability to listen to and evaluate the arguments of colleagues in the course of the discussion (0 to 1.5)
Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Rules of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to irregularities committed in the evaluation tests through academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Rules of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraud.
